I am an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister with a relationship with the Georgia Mountains Unitarian Universalist Church here in Dahlonega.
I work with couples to create meaningful personal ceremonies, allowing many choices in vows, readings, ring exchanges, etc. I offer premarital counseling by phone and e-mail, as well as options to meet personally in the Atlanta area.

After careful consideration and several interviews with potential officiants, my husband and I decided to work with Marti for our October 2009 wedding. When contemplating what we wanted for our wedding ceremony, we knew that we needed a very special person to officiate – one who would be open and understanding when we explained our somewhat unconventional beliefs, and who could help us create a ceremony that suited us without upsetting the more traditional leanings of our extended families. The ceremony that Marti helped us put together was fantastic! We heard nothing but rave reviews from our most conservative guests as well as our off-beat crowd. Many said it was the most beautiful ceremony they’d ever seen. Most importantly, our ceremony was perfect for us, and we couldn’t be happier with the job Marti did.
While originally somewhat skeptical of ‘pre-marital counseling,’ we worked with Marti through several sessions and actually had a really good time! Our pre-wedding sessions actually gave us a chance to focus on our relationship instead of on the wedding, which was incredibly refreshing. Additionally, these sessions allowed us to get to know Marti, and Marti to get to know us. This made our ceremony even more special as Marti was able to incorporate parts of our personal history.
In short, I would highly recommend Marti to any bride or groom.
